Vietnamese authorities have detained the bulk carrier Aquacharm following a collision with a dedicated berth at Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Company's port in Quang Ngai Province on October 18, 2026.
2026 年 10 月 18 日，散货船 “Aquacharm” 号在越南广义省和发榕桔钢铁公司港口撞击专用泊位后，越南主管机关对该船实施扣押。
According to the Quang Ngai Maritime Administration, the incident occurred at approximately 16:45 local time as the vessel approached Berth No. 10. The impact tore open a roughly 5-metre section of the ship's bow and damaged the wharf. The vessel subsequently completed its berthing manoeuvre.
据广义海事局通报，事故发生于当地时间约 16:45，当时船舶正驶近 10 号泊位。撞击造成船首约 5 米区域破损开裂，码头设施受损，该船随后完成靠泊操作。
The Northern Maritime Pilot Company’s Pilot Branch IV, which provided pilotage services for the vessel, has suspended the pilot officers involved while the incident is investigated.
为该船提供引航服务的北方引航公司第四引航分站，已暂停涉事引航员的工作，配合事故调查。
On October 21, the People's Court of Region 2 in Quang Ngai issued Detention Decision No. 154/QD-BGTB. The vessel is prohibited from leaving the port waters under the jurisdiction of the Quang Ngai Maritime Administration and must remain at its designated anchorage while complying with crew, watchkeeping and maritime safety requirements.
10 月 21 日，广义省第二区域人民法院出具第 154/QD-BGTB 号扣押裁定书。该船禁止驶离广义海事局管辖港域，须在指定锚地滞留，同时遵守船员值守、值班及海事安全相关规定。
All 22 crew members are reported safe. No environmental pollution has been reported. The extent of the damage to the vessel and berth remains undetermined pending an independent assessment.

The Marshall Islands-flagged Aquacharm is 292 metres long and has a deadweight tonnage of 182,309 tonnes. The vessel was carrying nearly 171,000 tonnes of ore from Australia to Dung Quat when the collision occurred.
